The places and locations of Scripture are important because they, too, tell a story. In fact, they’re so important that some scholars have referred to biblical geography as the “fifth gospel.”
If you want to know this “fifth gospel,” we recommend using Then & Now Bible Maps. These maps show where major biblical events took place (Then), and have transparent overlays that show where those places are today (Now). Click here to watch Jeff Cavins’ demonstration on how to use your maps.
Our study of the Bible should lead to a conversation with God that ultimately brings us to a deeper relationship with him, and a commitment to follow his will for our lives. The Walking Toward Eternity series is designed to help you prayerfully speak with God in Scripture so that you can put your faith into practice.
We also recommend Dr. Tim Gray’s book, Praying Scripture for a Change: An Introduction to Lectio Divina. Learning the simple and practical steps of lectio divina is a powerful way to enrich your prayer, to deepen your personal communion with God, and to hear His Word for your life.
