WHAT IS THE NEW EVANGELIZATION SUMMIT? The New Evangelization Summit is a conference that will be hosted in Ottawa and broadcast to thousands of church communities across North America. The conference includes world-class speakers such as Bishop Robert Barron, Fr. Michael White, Sr. Miriam Heidland, Mr. Tom Corcoran, Mrs. Meghann Baker and more! These speakers will tackle the issue of deepening our own faith, while giving us the tools necessary to help our family members, friends and others to draw closer to Christ in their life.
WHEN & WHERE IS IT? For the first time ever, this conference is being made available via a live broadcast in Sault Ste. Marie. The event takes place Friday evening May 12 (7:00pm – 9:00pm) and then continues on Saturday, May 13 (8:45am – 4:30pm). It will be hosted at Mount St. Joseph Catholic Education Centre (90 Ontario Street).
WHO WILL BE THERE? Bishop Marcel Damphousse has encouraged all Catholics in Sault Ste. Marie to participate in this Summit. This is an opportunity to be inspired to deepen our faith life, to be reenergized to live out our faith with passion, and to learn some tools to be able to talk to others about Jesus Christ.
HOW DO I REGISTER? Tickets are $35.00 and are available now at www.newevangelization.ca. If you do not wish to register online, please contact our parish secretary who will complete your registration.
WHAT IS INCLUDED? Along with being able to listen to world-class speakers, and be able to discuss the topics with those gathered together, all refreshments are included Friday night, as well as lunch and refreshments throughout the day on Saturday.
WHY SHOULD I ATTEND? Jesus calls all of us to “make disciples of all nations” (Mt. 28:19). If we are to help bring others to Christ, we first have to be made strong in our own faith. Once we feel renewed in our own spirit, we have to use the right tools to be able to share our faith effectively with those who are on the fence, or have completely abandoned their faith. This event will help you be an effective sharer of the Good News of Jesus Christ and help others return home to Christ.
