In light of the tragic loss of six men killed in a Quebec City mosque on Sunday night, we call the people of Sault Ste. Marie to gather as neighbours united in the hope of peace. We stand in solidarity with our city's Muslim community to mourn and to fight against Islamophobia.
We will gather at 7 p.m. on Wed. Feb. 1 in front of the Sault Ste. Marie Courthouse on 426 Queen St. E. to light candles and keep vigil. All are welcome. Candles will be provided.
The vigil is being organized by Emmaus Anglican Church in Sault Ste. Marie.
