Over the summer months, the Sault Community Career Centre will be bringing 50 government-sponsored Syrian refugee families to Sault Ste. Marie.  These families are coming from refugee camps and will have few or no household possessions.  It is expected that they are Muslim families. 
 
The arrival of these families will provide people who want to volunteer to help them settle into the community.  Volunteers will be needed to help them adjust to Canadian life and help them with their English language skills.  The SCCC also has a list of household starter kits that will be made up in quantities appropriate for four people.  A family or group of friends could work to assemble a kit.
