The Sacrament of Reconciliation
Those who approach the sacrament of Reconciliation obtain pardon from God's mercy for the offense committed against Him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church which they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labours for their conversion. It is called the sacrament of Reconciliation, because it imparts to the sinner the love of God who reconciles.
At the directive of our Diocesan Bishop, the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion will now be administered to students in Grade 2 and higher.
First Reconciliation takes place at St. Jerome's at the beginning of the Advent season of each year. Registration forms for children in grades two and up are available in September from the parish office or at Mass.
Registration forms are also distributed through the parish schools: St. Mary's French Immersion and Holy Cross.
For dates for First Eucharist, please see our First Eucharist page.
